 OUR PLACE/CHEZ NOUS

Our Place/Chez Nous Drop-In Centre is located at the Corner of Main Street and Higgins Avenue. St. Charles Catholic Church, with support from parishes throughout Winnipeg, provides support to the life of the drop-in centre. Donations of food, baking, clothing, toiletries and financial offerings are the main expressions through which parishioners actively partner in serving the poorest of the poor in Winnipeg.

The Centre provides:
  • A non-judgmental environment for people who live in the core area and homeless people to drop in during the day
  • Runs a warm, welcoming, safe, friendly drop in centre that offers a phone line, computers, reading material, games, crafts
  • Provides emergency clothing and food at no charge
  • Offers a weekly opportunity to obtain clothing and household goods
  • Accepts donations of food and clothing
